I kinda sorta want to make the bold statement that salads may just be my most consumed food. A good salad can MAKE my day and a bad salad-well, quite frankly I won’t even eat a bad salad- haha, I’ll take one bite and find some tacos or something 😉 #noTimeForBadSalads.
Darlings, in the perfect world I would have all my salads prepped for the week…but most of the time I can’t even remember to go grocery shopping, so sometimes you just gotta find your nearest QUICK salad options!
Healthy eating is about planning to make good decisions even in situations where it might seem impossible; cue those summer time road trips, those days where you have no time to pack a lunch for work, when you gotta feed the kids and yourself in less than 30 minutes, or heck just a bad day!
So when I heard about Wendy’s salad options I was intrigued but then when I actually got to learn about them and TASTE the difference in these salads compared to other drive thru options I was SO EXCITED that I potentially had the answer to my need for healthy salads in no time and at a good price point!
I went to a local Wendy’s here in Denver and was able to see some of their salads made right in front of me, hear about their process and efforts to keep everything as FRESH as possible, and taste each one…you guys, they were ALL SO GOOD. But I am gunna chat about my favorites that I think you get the most bang for your buck and the ones that I think are the best calorie wise along with keeping you full with the healthy stuff!
Apple Pecan Chicken Salad
This salad may or may not be favorite, it’s SO CUTE and I can fill up with just the half size portion 🙂 The half size is 350 calories, full of handpicked red and green apples, pomegranate vinaigrette, roasted pecans, blue cheese crumbles, and dried cranberries.
***Sometimes, when I am trying to really watch what I am eating (like before a beach vacation) I will skip out on the blue cheese crumbles and dried cranberries and the salad still tastes AMAZING!!***
Power Mediterranean Chicken Salad
If I am REAL hungry this is my GO-TO, it’s also good for all your boys out there that need something super filling but healthy. I still also order just the half size in this salad which is 250 calories, has yummy feta cheese, a sun-dried tomato grain blend, hummus, and light balsamic vinaigrette.
Strawberry Mango Chicken Salad
This salad is so cute you can use it as a photo accessory at the pool all summer long! The mix of fresh fruit, the perfect honey citrus vinaigrette, and crunchy sunflower seeds make for the perfect healthy snack at only 260 calories for the half size- this one I don’t mind getting the full size if I am really hungry which is 470 calories.
Darlings, the most important thing is KNOWING what you are eating- if you are chowing down on pizza or a giant burger know what is in it! Thats what I loved about going to Wendy’s and getting to hear about what they put in their salads and how they prep everything!
It is possible to have a healthy,

I took my sis with me to this event and she helped me take notes and snap some photos and we both fell in LOVE with their Fruit Tea Chillers! We both love getting a little something refreshing and sweet in the summer to sip on when we are hanging out and these little guys are SOOO good and a small has 150 calories, swears I thought it was going to be way worse for me because they TASTE SO DANG GOOD!
